Depolymerization of Waste Plastic Using Bubble Column for Nano Alumina Blended Coating

In this study, we aimed to figure out how the depolymerization of polyethylene terephthalate produces monomers, dimers, trimers, and other oligomers bis (2-hydroxyethyl) terephthalate. Polymerization was achieved in a bubble column reactor with 0.05 wt% 40–50 nm magnesium oxide nanoparticle as catalyst. A used perform recycling process at boiling point ethylene glycol atmospheric pressure. Depolymerized (DPET) mixed poly(methyl methacrylate) reinforced 1% Nano Al2O3. The nanoparticles acted composite coating low carbon steel protection. Adhesion strength mechanical structural properties were investigated for composite, average thickness 28.39 µm. results showed that hardness adhesion forces between substrate increased an increase amounts DPET nano-Al2O3 per polymer resin. On hand, thermal conductivity decreased addition because end chain movement induced by retardant cross-linking force. Furthermore, demonstrated outstanding heat mass transfer phenomena reduced reaction time just 40 min complete depolymerzation also energy consumption.
